SPA THERAPY

OBJECTIVE

The program will prepare and qualify students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the field of Spa Therapy practicing Therapeutic Massage treatments. The program meets the standard established by the National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training. The program is designed to successfully prepare the graduate for certification and licensure as well as for successful employment and/or self-employment in the Massage Therapy industry.

COURSE OVERVIEW

To prepare students to meet National and International standard requirements in becoming certified and licensed Spa Therapist. The program exceeds the requirements established by the National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training to successfully prepare the graduate for licensure as well as for successful employment and/or self-employment in the Beauty Therapy industry. The pre-requisite for this course is completion of Swedish Massage or Aesthetics and Skin Care Level III.

COURSE DETAILS

Classes are held on Thursdays 4:00pm - 6:00pm and lasts 5 weeks. Swedish Massage/ Massage Therapy is a Pre-Requisite. Cost is JM$80,000.00 and includes scrubs, body foil and body masks.

CERTIFICATION

All courses at The Face Place Institute outlined are NCTVET curriculum based units. Upon completion of this course, The Face Place Institute certificate is awarded. The Face Place certification are clustered units from the NVQJ qualification plan.
